Green Key is an international sustainability certification for the tourism industry. Its criteria are based on the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals and include requirements related to reducing environmental impact, increasing social benefits, and supporting the local economy. The criteria are practical and effectively take into account the specific characteristics of the tourism sector.

Green Key is also a sustainability program: participating companies commit to continuous improvement and report on their progress annually as part of the renewal application. The program offers participants personalized guidance, as well as training and communication materials. The quality of operations is verified through regular on-site audits. The certificate is awarded by an independent, external Green Key jury.

The Green Key label is a recognition of the quality of a company’s operations. It demonstrates a strong commitment to sustainability and meets the growing expectations of customers and partners regarding responsible tourism services.
